Commercial / CDL notice: Standard UTS memberships are for personal, non-commercial driving and do not cover citations received while operating a commercial motor vehicle or citations arising from CDL/commercial driving. Separate commercial memberships are not currently offered.

Membership fees & claim decisions

Membership fees maintain access to the UTS membership program and are not refundable solely because a citation or claim is denied, reduced, excluded, exceeds the available benefit, or is otherwise ineligible, except as expressly provided in the Terms or required by law.

If extraordinary eligible claim volume makes it financially impracticable for UTS to pay all otherwise approved reimbursement benefits when due, UTS may instead refund the membership fee attributable to the month of the applicable citation. For annually billed memberships, that monthly amount is one-twelfth (1/12) of the annual membership fee.

If you believe a membership charge is incorrect, please contact UTS promptly. A denied or ineligible claim does not itself make prior membership charges invalid. UTS may contest payment disputes or chargebacks using applicable enrollment, billing, membership, communication, and claim records as permitted by law.

Excluded Serious or Criminal Offenses.

UTS does not provide reimbursement for reckless driving, racing, DUI/DWI or other alcohol- or drug-related driving offenses, hit-and-run, fleeing or evading law enforcement, vehicular offenses involving injury or death, or other citations or charges classified as criminal offenses rather than ordinary traffic violations.
